Black background with a globe in the top right corner. Text says Registrations open 20 January 2025. Online Advanced Volunteer Management Symposium.

In 2009, I attended the Australasian Advanced Volunteer Management Retreat – a game-changing experience that expanded my thinking more than any other professional development opportunity. The connections I made and the insights I gained stayed with me for years. But finding something equally transformative proved elusive.

That’s why, during COVID, I joined forces with colleagues to create the type of leadership development experience I had been seeking. The result? The Advanced Volunteer Management Symposium (AVMS) – a truly unique program designed by leaders of volunteer engagement, for leaders of volunteer engagement.

AVMS connects professionals across the globe through an immersive online experience. Over nine weeks, participants engage in thought-provoking plenary sessions, hear from inspiring keynote speakers, and build deeper connections through small group discussions we call Circles. This format fosters a supportive environment where leaders can challenge assumptions, explore new perspectives, and reimagine what’s possible.

Get ready for #AVMS2025 – a transformative journey that will elevate your leadership and spark lasting change. Registrations open on 20 January. Don’t miss your chance to be part of this incredible experience!

Let’s lead the way forward – together.

I acknowledge that I live, work and play on the unceded lands of the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung people.  I respect their elders, past and present, and those of all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Countries, and I honour their enduring knowledge systems, cultural strength and deep connection to Country.
